The Imperial Scouts and Guides are an international outreach ministry
of the nobility of the Holy Roman Empire. The intent of the program
is to strengthen the faith and service of Catholic Scouts and Guides
around the world. Currently membership is limited to those Christian
youth and adults who have received the Imperial Scout Award or the
Imperial Guide Award.
The Imperial Scouts and Guides are independent Scouting/Guiding
programs. Members are expected to maintain membership in a national
Scouting/Guiding program within their respective nations. As an
international Scouting organization, the Imperial Scouts and Guides
serve to foster and further the goals and mission of the worldwide
Scouting and Guiding.

The I.S.G.(HRE) is under the leadership
of its Imperial Chief Scout
Members of the I.S.G.(HRE) are expected to be excellent scholars,
responsible citizens of their nation and the world, strong in the
Christian faith, well-grounded in history, and leaders within Boy
Scouts and Girl Scouts/Guides. Youth members must be senior
Scouts/Guides already.
About the Holy Roman Empire
The Holy Roman Empire was the overall governing political structure
in Europe for centuries. Though no longer an explicit political
system, its principal claimants today are H.I.R.H. Prince Karl
Friedrich von Deutschland (First Reich), H.R.H. Prince Friedrich of
Prussia (Second Reich), and H.I.R.H. Archduke Otto von Habsburg
(HRE-Austro-Hungarian Empire). A significant number of the European
nobility is part of the HRE historical structure, including the
currently-reigning royal houses. The purpose of the HRE and its
non-reigning component houses today is to preserve the Holy Church,
maintain the history of the Holy Roman Empire and its various
components, and work for the promotion of freedom of all people
around the world.
